Story Times
Make reading a part of your child's life!

Tuesdays & Wednesdays @ 10:00am
Thursdays @ 6:30pm

Some Important Tips for a Successful Story Time Experience

  1. Discuss storytime with your child BEFORE you come- that there will be activities such as stories, simple songs & games, fingerplays etc.
  2. Explain the importance of being a good listener by being quiet & still, so others can enjoy the stories too.
  3. Plan to arrive early or on time. Children are easily distracted. Latecomers become the focus of attention.
  4. Please tend to your child. If he/she becomes disruptive (crying, walking around, etc.) PLEASE be fair to others. Take the child out of the story room and try again the following week. Everyone appreciates this!
  5. Adults-please save visiting with friends until later. Set a good example for the children
  6. Remember that storytime is just an introduction to the world of books. Read to your child every day!

Also remember that there is to be NO food or drink in our library (including the story room) unless it is a special treat at a program. This means that you should NOT give your child snacks of any kind during storytime or progams. Wait until you leave the library. Thank you.
