Collection and Equipment Policies:

 

 

 

Loan Periods

West Bend Community Memorial Library owns more than 200,000 items, including nearly 150,000 books.  
If there are no reserves, a 14 day renewal may be requested at the end of most 28 day loans. 

West Bend subscribes to nearly 250 magazines and to 21 newspapers. The most recent issue may not be checked out.  For many titles, there is a 10 year backfile of issues, readily available in the periodical browsing area on the first floor.   

 Fines

10 cents a day per item is charged on most overdue materials. 
50 cents a day per item is charged on videos, DVDs, CD-ROMS and other specialty items circulated as kits.

Equipment

The West Bend Library owns 3 microfilm reader/printers, 4 word processing computers with printers, 10 Internet access computers, 2 photocopiers and magnifying equipment for the visually impaired.  All are for use in the library building when patrons have signed the use agreement.  Electric engraving devices and electrical watt meters may be checked out for home use.

All circulating materials at all WACCOOL member libraries (West Bend, Germantown, Hartford, Kewaskum, and Slinger) are available to all WACCOOL library cardholders.  Van service each day provides pickup at the library chosen by the requesting patron.
